I think there should be UBI that covers all rent and utilities and food and some extra to save so no one has to worry about working to live. Then minimum wage should be something like 30k a year.

Proposal

Minimum wage should be set so that so that someone working 40 hours per week is paid twice the median monthly rent of a one bedroom apartment in the local area. This ensures that someone working at min wage can afford an apartment, food, water, bills etc.
