In my state, our power company has been found to be corrupt and inefficient on numerous occasions. Many people end up experiencing long outages despite paying their bills. This is dangerous, as we have very harsh winters. What is the best possible way to provide people with electricity?

All electrical power generation facilities should be integrated into a continental grid. Eliminate surge pricing.

UBI Advocacy
A baseline amount of electricity should be provided to everyone for free as part of a broader UBI program.

More solar panels and wind turbines in the world generally, de-monopolization of resources (power, water, gas, internet). People should be able to choose to say fuck you to structures that do not help them

Brainstorming
We should get more solar panels and wind turbines bc wind makes a SHITTON of power and put them everywhere to help cut off the actual cost of maintaining. basic rights shouldn't be a capitalistic endeavor, they should be as cheap as possible.

Opinion
Electricity is a human right; If corporations can't provide it in an affordable and non-corrupt way then we should be looking to replace them.
